FAQ

  • Students must have a current Swainston ID with them to check-out books.

  • Students may check out a maximum of 3 books, only one book pers series at a time unless they have a fine or overdue books.

  • Books are checked out for a period of 15 school days.

How does the library work?

 All students are given a five day grace period from the due date to return books.

 

  • Students will then be charged 10¢ per day for books to a maximum of $5.00 per book.

  • Damaged books will be assessed a fine based on the extent of the damage. Students who return books that are damaged beyond repair will be responsible for the replacement cost of the book.

  • Students who lose books are responsible for the replacement cost of the book.

  • All library materials must be returned before the last day of school or the material will be marked as lost and the student will be charged for the material.

 

  • All Fines and charges remain on the students records until resolved.

Does the Library have fines?

Cash is always welcome, but fines can be paid with our 24/7 Food Drive. 

  • Student may pay for late fines with a non-perishable food item. 

 

 

How can I pay fines?

Monday: 7:30 AM- 2:11 PM

Tuesday: 8:00 AM- 3:30 PM

Wednesday: 7:30 AM- 3:30 PM

Thursday: 8:00 AM- 3:30 PM

Friday:  7:30 AM- 2:11 PM

 

During the school day, students must have a pass from their teacher to visit the library.
